Visit the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za. 

  • Create an account:

Register for a “myNSFAS” account by providing your ID number, email address, and phone number. 

  • Login and apply:

Enter personal information, academic details, chosen institution, desired field of study, and residential address.

NSFAS Application form Download

Students must download the NSFAS 2025 Consent form: NSFAS reserves the right to validate all information and details provided by the applicant and parent/guardian/spouse against independent third-party data sources.

Students must download the NSFAS Declaration form: This form only applies to applicants who are 34 years old or younger. This form is used to verify parental/guardian details.

Students with disabilities must provide: A completed and signed Disability Annexure Form, please ensure that the medical report is merged with this disability annexure when you create a file to submit with your application.

Students must download the NSFAS Orphan or Vulnerable Child Declaration form: This form is only to be completed by applicants who are under the age of 18 and who are orphans OR, who are vulnerable children in that they have been exposed to abuse, neglect, exploitation, risk of violence and substance abuse.

NSFAS Application Status Check Online 2025

  • Visit the NSFAS website
  • Enter your username and password to access your MyNSFAS Account.
  • Select “Track funding progress” from the menu
  • On the dashboard, you will see the status.
  • Either funded or unfunded will be indicated by the status
